The Campbell Mansion

The Campbell Mansion is a historic home built in 1921 with 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. I purchased it in 2017 after it was abandoned for +12 years. Prior to renovating it, it was used as a senior home facility and it was in dire condition (see the “before” photos below!). The goal was to rehab it while respecting its history while modernizing it for today’s needs. We were able to repair and maintain the original front door (solid 101-year-old wood!), the master bedroom fireplace (it had 4 layers of paint!), lots of wood trim around the staircases, few windows, front porch columns, and all the exterior bricks. Fun fact: I looked up the history of the house and it was originally built by a man named John, who moved from Virginia to reside in the midwest, a 100 years later, the story repeats itself with me sharing the same name and the stated I moved from.
